Strawberry Hill - Inn & Event Venue

Strawberry Hill has become our go to when in Petersburg area. The accommodations are incredible. Service is even better. I recommend staying here anytime you are passing through the area. Its a perfect jump off 95 or 85.

Wow! Gorgeous! Lovely! Yay! Just a few words that came to mind as we stepped into this historic home. Our research brought us to this gem. We were so impressed that we altered our travel plans; booked two nights rather than just one. Great decision on our part to fully appreciate this home! We enjoyed our beautiful and spacious room, the high ceilings, crown molding, baseboards, and other details throughout. Our bed was especially comfortable as was the sitting area. Lots of windows provided natural light during the day. We recommend strolling through the garden and grounds that connect three properties. Our hostess, Linda, explained their vision to restore those two adjacent historic homes. On your visit, don't forget to enjoy Linda's homemade scones and granola with your coffee or tea. Nice way to start our day before exploring Petersburg.

We stayed in the room in the basement - the Hearth room and it was lovely! Very clean and beautiful. The bathroom is very small, but it's perfect for just one person or a couple to stay. And they even had water bottles in the mini fridge and dog treats/bowls for any pups staying in the room! The antique furniture and decor felt cozy like home. The owners were very sweet and happy to host. I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at Strawberry Hill. The home has been thoughtfully restored and furnished to feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The beds were very comfortable and each large room includes a seating area, a desk, and other amenities. We enjoyed sitting in the communal dining room and parlor/salon to take in the ambiance. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained.

I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting town on a work trip. It was such a treat and made my week much more enjoyable! My room was beautifully decorated, so huge, and had such a comfortable bed. I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. There was a delicious light breakfast and coffee provided. The Inn is in a great location with everything you need in a walkable distance. Highly recommend staying here over any other option in town.

I worked a brief event here and everything I observed of this venue was amazing! Our coordinators arranged things last minute and everyone around the property was attentive and helpful. The rooms looked well maintained and cared for. I'd return here anytime

What a great stay at strawberry Hill Inn. The rooms both the bedroom and the public rooms are stunning with beautiful antiques and decorative details. The bed was the most luxurious I have slept on. The hosts, Linda and Dale are so thoughtful and gracious and have made such an effort to tell you about restaurants and interesting things to do around Petersburg. I highly recommend it.

We spent our anniversary weekend at Strawberry Hill and it was a perfect, peaceful, historic getaway for us to celebrate us. Staying at Strawberry Hill was like spending a couple of nights at the museum! We loved walking into Old Town Petersburg, dining at various restaurants, and coming home to the mansion to read and play board games in the Drawing Room. For a house over two centuries old, the inhouse temperature felt perfectly balanced for our modern sensibilities, and the golden symmetry of its Paladian architecture made the rooms feel welcoming and relaxing. What a wonderful weekend!
